INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR MICRO-PIGMENTATION
Please read and follow instructions carefully and refer to Treatment Information.
There is little to no after pain following your treatment. Your therapist will provide you with after care cream “Paw Paw” or you may purchase this from your therapist or Pharmacy .This product is an approved safe and effective antiseptic agent and helps protect against infection., as well as protection barrier or film coverage whilst healing . Use a smear only, applied with a cotton bud, approximately 2 to 3 times per day for 5-7 days. Also before a shower and avoid direct reduces or contact directly over tattoo. Please do not Wash Directly Over Tattooing but you may do all as usual around your cosmetic Tattoo Treatment are!
DO NOT USE ANY OTHER PRODUCT ON THE TATTOO AREA FOR 5 DAYS OR THE COLOUR CAN CHANGE.
Day 1 to 7, NO soaps or cleansers on the treated area for up to 7days. No Makeup JUST “over the area” for 7 days
From Day 2-7 for Brows, Gently smear cream 2-3 times daily,
For lips and eyes, clean "around gently with cotton tip with a drop of warm water.
BUT KEEP APPLYING " A small amount only " 3 times a day on the Tattooed areas of Paw Paw & again if taking a shower or washing over the face ( not to wash directly over the Tattooed Area)
WHY HOME CARE IS IMPORTANT!
The area where the tattoo has been applied :MUST BE KEPT MOIST’ with Paw Paw, for successful healing, without scabbing.. NO picking the treatment area as colour can come away whilst bonding. (Day 4 is usually the day to expect some "itching feeling" this is because the skin is healing, "Completely Normal"
If you experience this itching day 2 to 4, this is the skin natural healing process, Do not scratch or pick the tattoo. "Please apply your Home Care Cream to sooth the Itch."
Looking after your Micro Pigmentation Treatment
After Your Treatment Colours will appear brighter and more sharply defined immediately following the procedure, colours will Darken when healing and then lighten and soften in three to ten days, most tattoo’s will have a flake off or clients will loose some or all their colour in this time.. Often clients think they have lost their colour completely, or it has lightened too much, you MUST wait 4-6 weeks and then judge the result.
Then, your Perfection treatment is needed and will define or perfect your finished results as everyone differs after their first treatment. This is the time that the skins natural resurfacing cycle takes place, as we know that the tattoo is in the dermis and needs time to resurface and this is the reason your adjustments have to wait to be done after 4 - 6 weeks. This would have been explained in detail by your tattooist during or after your treatment. Also take into consideration that most medications come into play with the skin. This will only mean that you will most certainly need and top up or perfection visit. Also clients with Low Iron, if present, will affect retention of Colours, also clients who have pre tattooed the area that has to be worked over again.
THE EYEBROWS
It is unusual to get swelling if you do use a cold compress (only apply for 5 mins every 6 hours) There is no after pain, only a slight tenderness around the Eyebrow Tattoo. Immediately after and for the next twenty-four hours continue to wipe the Eyebrows. They will weep a clear fluid (this is normal). Dab them to remove the fluid otherwise a crusting or scab will build up which is not what we want. Keep a fine smear of Paw Paw Cream over the eyebrow area approximately 4 times a day for 5 days.
THE LIP-LINE
It is normal to get swelling on the lip and more so on a full lip tattoo. You may use a cold pack for 5 mins every few hours over next 24 hours to reduce swelling. There is no after pain, only dryness on the lip. Keep moist with Paw Paw Cream, Cold Sore Cream (Zovirax Cream) if you suffer with cold s, alternatively with Paw Paw. Ice can also be used to freeze the virus. The colour after a few days will be much lighter, after 4-6 weeks the true colour will show through. The colour will look a little different at various times of the day, due to your own skin responses and different lighting will show a slight colour change. Use must have a touch up colour 4-6 weeks to retain colour. Lipstick can not be worn for 5 days post treatment as your home care cream will give a gloss look anyway. If you feel any adjustment to shape/colour is needed you must allow 4-6 weeks for the skin to heal.
EYELINER
The eye area will feel like windburn. Rest eyes after treatment. It is not necessary to apply After Care Cream unless you are sensitive or have prolonged swelling. Do not use mascara or False eyelashes for 5 days.

FUTURE CARE

Use a good sunscreen. Sun exposure will fade your cosmetic tattoo

If you are planning a chemical peel, laser procedure or an MRI scan, please inform the technician of your permanent cosmetics. Laser light therapy can darken, light and distort the pigment

The use of RetinA/Tretinoin or any other rapid skin exfoliation products used regularly on the forehead will cause the permanent makeup to the eyebrow area to fade prematurely

The use of chemical peels and acid peels regularly on the forehead region can also cause eyebrow tattoos to fade prematurely

Once Healed, Apply Sun block over your New Designer Eyebrow”or Cosmetic Tattooing and wear sunglasses when possible. Exposure to the sun, over time can cause fading and colour change. Cover the Tattoo with Vaseline when swimming in salt or chlorinated water. To avoid bleaching & dying over areas as they Arte a peroxide base and shall strip your cosmetic tattooing of colour! We recommend to just CUT the grey or light hair. .Please avoid swimming in the firsts two weeks after your treatment. Any chemicals of any kind eg face wash, shampoo, conditioner, eye make remover etc..this could interfere with the bonding process. Any Glycolic Acid or Peels must be kept completely away from the Area as this will lighten and also over time with constant continuous use. Check moisturisers and cleansers as they can also fade tattoo colour if they contain Vitamins directly ior in the long run. If you are IRON deficient (our pigments are prodomatetly Iron base ) this shall also effect the colour as your body shall naturally metabolise the iron from the pigment.. It is also a good indication that you may be low on Iron or anaemic .

PLEASE READ
Remember that healing is a process takes over the 4 weeks, this is why we do the perfectionist visit after this time
PLEASE BE PATIENT. Your brows will change, FROM DARK ( more than you are comfortable with) then they shall peel, lighten, look as though there is nothing there, (this is when the colour is in the lower layers of the skin and will start to come up day by day, until week 4 , you shall see most of your finial colour)
This is the same for the LIPS and will appear different day by day as it goes through this process. THIS IS NORMAL.!! : )

Day 1-2 Brows are crisp and are 20-40% darker and bolder than your healed results. There may be very minimal redness and no to slight swelling.

Day 3-5 Your brows will begin to itch and the pigment will appear raised. Brows will appear dark due to oxidation and scabbing. The top layers of your skin will begin to shed. DO NOT PICK OR SCRATCH!! Let them fall off naturally.

Day 6-8 The skin is rapidly exfoliating and will shed if left alone. DO NOT PICK OR SCRATCH!! The pigment under the exfoliating skin will appear light until the epidermis takes on its more transparent characteristics.

Day 10 Most or all of the scabbing has fallen off naturally. Brows will appear light and will warm up as the skin continues to heal. You can wash your brows now! Yay!

Day 30-60 Now is the time to critique your brows. The tattoo has now become part of the dermis, seen under the epidermis.
TOUCH UP /PERFECTION/FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENT IS REQUIRED
WHY
DO NOT expect your Tattooing " Cosmetic Medical & Scalp Tattooing " to heal perfectly or have perfect results after the first session, this is also why we DO NOT over correct on our first Treatment... and trust me .. I understand !!!! Being a perfectionist myself !!!! It is hard to take my own professional Advise.. but from many years of experience ,
This is a 2 step process, with some people - a 3 step process.
A perfection Fee Is Required to Cover Time, Anaesthetics,One Use equipment again, volume added colour or shape and is From $150 -$500

The first touch up (second session) is done within 4-6 weeks after the initial session.

It is your responsibility to book your touch up appointment or your our receptionist shall book this at the end of your first visit.

Permanent makeup may not appear as bold or sharp on darker skin clients compared to lighter skin clients.

Some clients may have a harder time retaining pigment and may require additional touch ups. (everyone is individual)

People who are Low On Iron, even if not medically low will absorb or metabolise more pigment that other , due to the patient being predominately IRON

People whom may have the genetic difference of haemochromatosis, are likely to hold better than most , as their body supplies Iron. I myself has this genetic Difference

For Reasons Unknown, People with a Reg Hair Genetic Position, generally take more sessions than norm, we do no know exactly why, but have found this to be a fact as it is with Light Therapy,
AGREEMENT: I have read the Semi-permanent makeup facts and desire the application of permanent makeup. I will co-operate with my Micro Pigmentation Specialist and staff during the application of my Cosmetic makeup and understand that the desired result is a process, which may require at least two applications or more as may be necessary, to achieve my desired result, considering changes in shape, volume of colour, healing of skin, medications, skin type as a result of my cosmetic makeup. I understand that this will differ in each individual and as a Client, skin Type and underlying medication, conditions or concerns.

Permanent Makeup Facts & What to Expect
1. The Day After: When your new makeup is completed it will appear too dark. This is temporary. You
are seeing pigment in both layers of your skin (epidermis and dermis). The top layer of your skin sheds
and renews itself every few days and can take over 6 to 8 weeks to resurface, with this natural process the pigment in the top layer will peel off, sometimes, completely, wait the 4 weeks and them judge your results. Please be aware that this is not a body art Tattoo, it is Cosmetic treatment Only, meaning the level of implanted ink is not as deep and the consistency of ink is not the same. This is for the best results of your Cosmetic Micr Pigmentation treatment & Future Result.
This initial dark look will not last. Only the colour in the dermis (second layer of skin) will be long lasting. This may take up to 6-8 weeks to resurface in to the epidermis (top Layer of epidermis)
If you are happy with your new permanent cosmetic colour and darkness when you leave your first session, then you will be unhappy within one to three weeks. For this reason, it is important for you to be patient and let your skin heal. After the healing and skin renewal process of 6 – 8 weeks you may want or require Perfection or follow up treatment. This is where you may like to add in more colour, volume, and corrections. Etc, the choice is yours. Everyone skin will hold or loose pigment differently.
2. Cosmetic Semi-Permanent makeup is a layering process of carefully implanting microscopic colours into the dermis. In cases of camouflaging scars and corrective makeup the goal can only be achieved through repeated applications and refinements to the previous applications after healing.
Most people usually want MORE colour rather than less, but we like to start with the Less is more rule, to begin with, especially for those who are unsure, you will know exactly what you do or don’t want after your first treatment, so when you come in for your Perfection Visit, you will be confident in the result you are wanting to achieve
This is common because it is better to apply LESS makeup than TOO MUCH. Although the results shall differ in everyone but remember the actual healing of any cosmetic tattooing treatment on the Facial, hands or feet area, is a Different type of skin and exfoliated rapidly, hence why this is a day by day difference in the healing outcome.
As a rule of thumb is: Eyebrows/Lips/Liners
Eyebrows lose between 20% and 70%of their original colour, eyeliner loses 20% and 50% of their original colour, and lip liner/ full lips colourless 50% or 70% of their original colour. Everyone will differ and will also differ in each area being treated.
3. Healing: For the first 2-3 days following eyebrows and eyeliner applications, and for the first 3-7 days following lip liner or lip colour, you will have slight swelling, redness and tenderness in the area of your newly applied Micro Pigmentation makeup. It is important to pamper your new makeup and keep a protective veil of aftercare cream over the treatment area. This prevents scab formation and drying, which can lift out the newly implanted colour. Wear sunglasses and sun screen when outside.
4. Touch-up - Perfection Visit: This is exactly what the name implies. Your cosmetic makeup will more likely, than not, need to be touched up or Perfected within the first 4-6 weeks, following your initial Treatment. Some occasions you may require 2 to 3 visits. The goal of these visits is to fill in any areas that need more Colour, enhancement or Balance. with Lips, this is common in the “cupids bow” of the lip, or the liner, Perfection comes with EXACTLY THAT "PERFECTION!" In areas of eyeliner or eyebrow implantation, it is areas that have healed with a loss of pigment. Every person is unique and we cannot predict how your Cosmetic makeup will appear. Be assured that we do our very best to make you happy with your investment in Semi-permanent makeup. Your co-operation is vital. And your results will differ from areas, to colours and in each individual person.
